I'm a downtown delivery driver. people need places to park. dick.

seriously. try going to tip-top at 7pm on a friday night and then tell me there are plenty of places to park downtown.

if anything we should be getting rid of parks in order to accomodate more cars. Carpark of Roses, anyone?

that website says it's friday, the 19th now too...i could maybe understand a weekend, but to me this seems to be completely oblivious and inconsiderate to all of those who have to work/do business downtown on a week day...

the ONLY people who think there's too much parking in the downtown area are folks who DON'T LIVE, DRIVE AND NEED TO PARK in the downtown area!!!





i'm borrowing a monster-truck for the day and i'm going "muddin'" through each and every "new park" i find that day.

you know what Columbus needs?

more malls.

they should demolish all those unsold New York Style Loft Apartment Condos™ and replace them with some nice little strip malls. you know... with a RadioShack and a Staples and a PetSmart and a UPS Store and a Subway and a Kmart with a Little Ceasars inside.

with our proud shopping mall heritage () maybe we can be Columbus: The Strip Mall Capital of the World

as someone who has held several jobs downtown over the last 10 years i don't think downtown has an excess of parking - if anything, i feel like we're one of the cities i've lived in or visited that has appropriate parking.

I think there is adequate parking downtown for the 8-to-5 crowd. But aside from those 40 hours a week, the parking lots downtown are completely empty the other 75% of the time. I don't know if that's the best use of the space.

Anyway, I really don't see this event as a reason to raise the blood pressure.
