Anyone paying attention to this? Last week's article talked about the restaurant not being as green as people might think they are (this was the premise of the article). Northstar responded with a letter today...

Haven't been there in awhile. I generally am a big fan, and roll with the prices of things. Heard that some things the price went up though which might hurt my repeat business depending on the prices...

I love the food at Northstar but always leave feeling I spent too much $$$.

As for their prices, they are a bit high, but I feel they also reflect the quality of food, and the person I knew who worked there said the employees were treated well, and decently paid. As a former food service veteran, I know you get what you pay for, and I like supporting North Star for those reasons.

If I want cheap, I go to Subway or Skyline or something similar.

i think northstar is a smidge too expensive. a while ago, i had breakfast with a friend...i got an egg and cheese breakfast biscuit, oj, and coffee and that was over 12 bucks which i thought was ridiculous...

also, i have noticed that the portions of tofu in the salads i've gotten recently have gone down while the prices are way up...

They finally put the grilled artichoke on their regular menu. They can club baby seals with their recyclables as far as I'm concerned.

Much ado about nothing. Neither the article nor the response warrants any kind of controversy and despite not recycling every possible little bit Northstar still does a helluva better than most restaurants.

They are getting a bit pricey for me, but I never regret spending the extra money when I do eat there.

I'd prefer an article about those damn tip jars.

Yowza--when'd they raise the burger price to 11 bucks? Obviously I haven't been there in a while, and the burger was great, but sheesh. I'm gonna have to think twice about going back at that price. Won't matter, place was packed.

I saw the brunch menu, though--nearly 7 bucks for a bowl of granola and yogurt? Outrageous!
