OMG!!!! Zantigo AND Mean Mr. Mustard's... I actually got tears in my eyes. I had so much fun when High Street was exactly like this video. Yes, I'm old. Chips and cheese and black fingernail polish.

Somebody needs to go reshoot this shot-for-shot.

awesome, beautiful, thanks for posting these... the old south campus was pretty nasty at the end, but it had a funky vibe that is totally gone now. Great Plains at the IP Lounge in '85, ah'm there. (isn't somebody else's nostalgia sickening?)

being a tad younger... i'd love to see a mid 90's video. although this one did tug at me a bit. stupid campus partners. lincoln NE has the same sorta 'old osu campus' feel to me. but only on O street.

souvlaki palace II! (=the reason i will never eat at a steak & shake.) zantigo of course became the all-in-one (kentaco hut). no insomnia yet. street scene! man that's a good time. it's even weird how different it is from when i got here, '88ish.

i love that those guys are filming it, thinking about how much it'd changed from the decade prior, and here we are doing quite the opposite.

and then later, after the windows were filled in and the space next to it became stone mountain, my life was a living hell, cuz i had to fix that goddamned hippy mural everytime someone tagged it . . .

god, i can't even remember how many times crazy mama's kids walking home would end up in big sidewalk brawls with the presley's crowd.

seeing the painting's on the front of "trade winds" was so sad. i miss yevette.

and the lane ave arby's & BK were such a HUGE part of my high school years. as well as the theater across the street.

In 1996 and 1997 I made two videos for my high school photo class.

The plots dont matter, but I filmed both of these videos on High St. I shot them inside Used Kids (old Used Kids), Insomnia, the building next string shop (it was abandonded back then), all over High St and also at the BLD.

The plots were totally silly. one was about a kid on a really bad acid trip, the other was basically a 50 minute remake of I Shot Andy Warhol...

But the videos are cool because they stand as a pretty good documentary of the campus section of High St in 1996 and 1997. I believe in the Used Kids scenes, Ron House is in them and does something quite funny.

I should get them transfered and put scenes on Youtube.
