Trees down everywhere in Grandview. These wind are gusting up to 50 mph. Can you imagine 100?

I have power at home, but I am getting calls from all sorts of friends all around town who have no power at home.

On the Browns game, the screen keeps scrolling that AEP says due to the massive outages that some people could be without power for up to 7 days.

225,000 homes (44% of AEP's customers) in Franklin County are without power.

No power at home although within 2 blocks of home near High Street there does appear to be power.

Of course, the jobby has power? Why wouldn't it? They brownout all the time when everyone else is OK - so of course the one day that 52% of Franklin County is out, work is up.

Lots of huge trees down in the 'hood. One on Weber road that (says a pal) was dragged by a semi which then took out a telephone pole - which broke off at the bottom and is still now sitting broken on Weber.

This better not fucking take 7 days to fix, and whoever the fuck has that generator in my neighborhood better start turning it off at night so I can sleep.

I'm just happy I have power this morning.

Power out randomly in Dublin. Home has been powerless since 3pm yesterday. Office in Dublin is also out (no work) and the teacher girlfriend is off as well, so we're stealing power and wifi from Panera in Tuttle Mall, which still has power (of course!). Gotta get all the devices powered up before we had back home for an afternoon of reading and quiet reflection.

We lost power in Bexley about 4 pm yesterday, and it came back on at about 3 pm today. No power lines came down anywhere around us, but a whole shitload of tree branches sure did. If the 70-year-old oak tree bordering our property can make it through that storm mostly intact, I can't imagine anything short of a nuclear strike bringing it down.

Any word from Grandview-area houses?

Has anyone seen an AEP crew anywhere??? The entire city of grandview seems be busy clearing 1st ave. Street is shut down. Other than that it seems like I have seen no crew of any kind anywhere.

i haven't seen a power crew of any flavor, and i've been making extremely frustrating trips from OTE up to morse road, out to reynoldsburg, and grove city. nowhere.

my favorite sight today was at morse & karl, where the light is out. the cop shop is right there on the corner, and the fellas were standing outside watching the chaos rather than directing traffic. thanks, jerks.

A friend of mine who lives one block from the White Castle on High Street in the Short North said a neighbor of hers called AEP and was told that they may not have power until 8:00PM on Wednesday.
