If you need a cheap alternative, try OSU Dental School. I had lots of work done there many yrs ago ('80's-90's). The work is done by students, but they are supervised by their instructors, who are of course dentists.

If you go to OSU dental school, make sure you are willing to spend a LOT of time. The hygenists often take more than one visit just to clean your teeth. They are very thorough, but it can get frustrating.

Anyone know a dentist who won't yell at me for not flossing? I have insurance, but haven't been to the dentist in so long I'm dreading the visit.

I know this guy. He's taught at OSU in past, maybe still. Great person and very talented.

i had not been to a dentist in so many years i am ashamed to admit.

anyway, in advance of my wedding it was time to fix my front tooth....... so i finally grew a pair and after reading some recommendations went to http://www.capitalcitydental.com/ in German Village a few weeks ago.

they were really nice to me even after i admitted that i hadnt been to the dentist in forever (ummm they could tell too). and they just put a plan together and i already got the one bad front tooth replaced (and it didnt even hurt, wtf?)..

so i will totally recommend this place, especially if you are like me and for many reasons you stayed away from the dentist since the nixon administration

I was a terrible yuckmouth. I went to Kvitko & Associates on High St. just south of Henderson and they were very nice and nonjudgmental and gave me NITROUS OXIDE (without which I would never have stayed). Their commercials are terrible, though.
Now I can chew on both sides and everything!

Immediadent on Brice. Dude yanked a wisdom tooth of mine that was rotting at 8pm the day before new years. He also gave me two prescriptions for vicodin which I traded for records. Tight nice. They have wild hours including weekend, I believe. Party on.

I go to Merion Village Dental. It's kinda pricey I guess, but They have all the newest technology there. I have no doubts that my teeth are being cared for by the best in town. I all them the "Star Wars Dentist" because they seriously have the most futuristic gizmos and techniques. Plus, they're all really nice.

bottom line: ya gotta floss. it's the only way....
It's like getting into jazz. It only hurts for a couple weeks.
Once you start doing it, you'll find yourself wanting to do it more & more, to enhance those "special" occasions. And the first roll's always free...
Haven't you always wondered what the cool people do, when they all go in the bathroom and lock the door? Yep! Flossing. The mirror really helps.

Karyn White formerly of the Whitacher dental group... she's in Westerville now. A couple years out of dental school!

Nice lady. Except she did my root canal in 4 visits, where as an endodontist does it in 1 or 2.

By the way, did you guys know dentists have one of the highest suicide rates?

Another relevant note about Kvitko (though useless, since you apparently have your problem resolved, thisoneholymedium): they are not hesitant to give out the drugs. I got the big vicodins - 20 of them - after having some teeth removed, and after a day or two I didn't even need them.
