"BTW, I feel kind of bad that you guys got stuck with Mangina...however when you ask for a Dungy or a Tomlin you have to realize that they are ZERO without their front offices constantly dropping top draft talent in their laps. I hate good teams "

Whats the over/under on months into the season before he blows up the Bills locker room, or will he be a model teammate to prove the media wrong? (Even though everyone thought he would do that in Philly too, then Dallas).

Who is a bigger douchebag, Terrell Owens or his agent Drew Rosenhaus? His mantra is, if you can't negotiate, irritate.

there's talk of cutler landing in cleveland, since they're one of few teams that can trade qb for qb. at least that's what they said on the radio this morning. thoughts?

i would like it if detroit and denver swapped 1st rounders (plus a third or fourth? from detroit... i don't really know what would complete this trade) and cutler went to detroit. that would give them the 12th and the 20th in the first round to shore up (what are lots of) loose ends. an OT and a DT or maybe an OT and Maualuga? but i doubt that would happen either. plus the whole "they-don't-want-me" crybaby schtick isn't especially endearing. he wouldn't last a season of the detroit boo-birds hounding.

i can't see the browns going for cutler, either. they're locked into rebuilding mode again, and it looks like the new regime is going to make us languish through another year of "evaluating" quinn and anderson.

that stallworth thing is a real bummer for everyone involved, especially the family of the deceased.

i'd like to see the browns draft curry (or best available defensive player), but if he's not available, maybe they should go for crabtree?

i don't see curry being available, but until they got peterson, i was thinking the Lions might take him. Now i'm just hoping that they get cutler so they don't pick Stafford. if they take stafford he'll suck, if they don't he'll be awesome. them's my lions.

Cutler has set a new low for whiny, pussy, primadonna quarterbacks.

Peter King says the #1 pick is actually a hindrance to Detroit getting Cutler, because the #1 pick is guaranteed such a huge salary most teams don't want it.

I think the Broncos should tell Cutler to quit being a pussy and deal with it, but I think they will end up trading him. If I were the Browns, I would steer clear and take my chances with Brady.

He could very well be a role model for diabetics. But as for his play, for a QB who really hasn't accomplished a whole lot in the league, he should STFU and be happy to be making the money the Broncos are paying him.

I agree he doesn't shoulder the team at this point. I never really though Shanahan was that great either. He drafted Maurice Clarett because he always felt he could make any RB good in Denver. They would just shuttle them in and out. Shanahan had a pretty good offense and defense in 2003, 2004, but Jake was prone to mistakes/bad decisions, and the D has gotten worse since then.

But Cutler needs to realize the NFL is a business and almost every player is liable to be traded if the coach/owner think the move would improve their team.

Peter King made a point on the Dan Patrick show yesterday that he thinks Cutler wants out of Denver since Shanahan is gone, and is just using this situation to avoid the blame, and push to get out of there. He could have a very good career in the NFL but he seems to have a sense of entitlement. While the Broncos could have handled the situation better, Cutler looks like a whiny ass.

Police won't confirm TV report that Cleveland Browns receiver Donte Stallworth was legally drunk
http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.s ... eport.html

Not that he was going to actually catch any passes, but shit.

Rumored to be under consideration:

Jay Cutler to the NY Jets
Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos
Jet draft picks to Cleveland

, the Plain-Dealer saying a three-way deal that involves the Browns shipping quarterback Brady Quinn away to Denver in exchange for a draft pick or picks -- with Cutler going to the third team in the deal -- makes the most sense for Cleveland's muddled QB situation.

one, I think Cutler's downward spiral can be placed solely on the shoulders of one Peyton Manning...

two, can't believe that they cut Jurevicius, one of the few guys in the league that actually WANTED to play for the Brownies- those types are hard to find.

three, the Jurevicius cut couldn't happen at a worse time with Stallworth's DUI-vehicular-homicide.

Go Browns. :wall:
