so here's the deal. I'm working on a new album and I want to do it right, which includes hiring some musicians to play some session work (drums, guitar, keys, back vox), getting it mastered, and being able to purchase CDs at a better rate. In order to help fund this, I am trying a newish idea where I am trying to get people to pledge to buy it (basically a pre-sale) as well as some other rewards for higher levels of sponsorship (boxed sets, private shows, original artwork, etc) in order to try to keep things independent yet still be able to offset some of the initial cost out of pocket.

When I first read this I was thinking that it's great to see you're working on a new record but quite a bummer that you're in rehab.

Well, maybe you should wait until after the record is done before going to rehab. Don't get all Aerosmith on us, man.

update: have some musicians and drummers lined up, and a couple of engineers. Some new songs, figured out which ones I'm dropping (mostly) and heading into the studio soon.

As a Thanksgiving sale, anyone who prebuys the album before Sunday gets one free, either a second copy or one the older ones. That's $15 for two albums. Hell, I may even throw some biscotti in there too just cause I'm feeling generous.
