spanky lee, in case you don't have it. evidently somewhat legendary as far as indie hair metal discs go. self-produced in louisville, '89/'90. not bad. found for 99¢ at th thrift yesterday (not $75 on amazon). there's a guy named chip in th band.

got th first slave raider lp on wax yesterday in pittsburgh. dunno if it was released in some form before they signed with jive but i got th tsangarides remix version released over a year after it was recorded:

Not anything super-rare or whatever, but happy to find White Lion's "Pride", Slaughter's "The Wild Life" and Neverland's self-titled in the $1 CD bin at Half-Price Books in Cleveland this weekend. Owned all 3 on cassette, have MP3s of all 3, but glad to have the CDs now.

th air in th nervosas van has been resonating mightily with noxious sounds from a buncha luck-filled thrift-store cassette runs as of late: first 3 poison tapes, salty dog, stryper, van hagar, &c. (+ th bygones and tom foolery cds recently posted at mtf came from th graceland halfprice dollar bin this week!)

got 'what do you know about rock'n'roll' on cassette in montreal this weekend! plus th second junkyard tape.
