This show went really well. I'm a little sad that I didn't get to see The Sun, but there'll be plenty time to do that in the future.
Marvin the Robot: I can't review myself, that's totally immoral...I mean, Marvin the Robot is the best band in the whole universe of all time in perpetuity!!!
The Cains & Ables: Formerly Lapel, and very snazzy Superfriendseque rock band, now a really great mistrel trio gutiar, bass, and violn. Powerful story/songs and hooks galore
Thanksgiving: Despite his utter lack of stage presence (or even respect for the stage) this young, friendly songwriter did manage to capture the audience with his minimal and hopeful songs.
The Lay All Over Its: Chicago jazz duo, man, they only played two songs. One was 40 minutes long though, so no one felt ripped off.
Unwed Sailor: SO awesome. I'd heard them before, and liked them, but I really had NO IDEA that they were gonna be so fucking good.
Anyway, if you missed this show, I feel sorry for you.
