DeVotchKa () is a FANTASTIC band from Denver who will be traveling through the Midwest on their way to play the CMJ festival in NYC. If you're not familiar, DeVotchKa's sound is an amalgamation of American folk, jazz, classical, Eastern European and Middle Eastern music with a dash of indie-punk attitude. They just recently spent some time on tour supporting The Dresden Dolls and will soon embark on a west coast tour with Jim White. The band’s critically hailed debut Supermelodrama was produced by Bob Ferbache (16 Horsepower) and their upcoming record will be produced by Craig Schumacher (Giant Sand, Calexico, Friends of Dean Martinez, Richard Buckner). Their instrumentation incorporates guitar, drums, upright Bass, trumpet, accordion, violin and sousaphone.

The Bygones are local heroes whose songs instantly induce mass amounts of liquor swilling and toe-tapping. Truly one of the best bands in the city.

Necropolis are quickly making a name for themselves around the Beach with excellent songs and a live show that is not to be missed.

Necropolis is a band from the Washington Beach area including some of the guys who run Columbus Discount Recording. They've been creating a lot of good buzz lately. Really good songs and on stage they bring it. I'm really excited about this bill! Although I know there is a lot going on Saturday I hope some of you will find time to stop by and check out a couple of these great bands. If it helps, here's the estimated schedule (subject to slight variance of course):
