Video: Danny Brown Noisey Freestyle About Drugs

Have you ever been hit by a car? I have but that’s not as interesting as Danny Brown freestyling above about drugs after discussing an automobile accident with Noisey. The adderall admiral also discusses how the gap in his teeth makes it so he can provide enjoyable oral sex with women but not properly eat a Hot Dog. I guess he is fortunate that he is not Cazwell.

Last Call To Apply To The Red Bull Music Academy

April 2nd is the deadline to apply for the Red Bull Music Academy.  The above video has  Erykah Badu, Bootsy Collins, Benji B, Nick Hook, Andrea Balency, Jesse Boykins III, and Salva explaining what the Academy offers.

Seems like this would appeal to Columbus artists that are trying to figure out how to get past the Columbus City Limits. RBMA will in New York this fall which is only 9 hours away. This is the first time it’s been in the US since 2005.

The only criteria is that you have to be a musician, deejay or etc., and be passionate about what you do. For more info and to apply click here.

after the jump peep out a guest lecture from Doom.

Joey Bad A$$ is 17 Years-Old. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York.  He takes part in this regional music from New York.  You are probably familiar with Bounce Music,, Sissy Bounce, Krunk, Hyphy, Screwed & Chopped, Go-Go & Miami Bass. Well, New York City has their own form of regional music called “backpack Hip Hop”. It started in the late 70’s as a way of kids to party, and express themselves. It was really popular in New York up until 1997.

Vice/Noisey travels to Brooklyn New York to get a rare glimpse at a young backpack rapper named Joey Bad A$$ & his friends the Pro-Era Crew having fun doing things that are really indicative of  New York Youth Culture.

Obviously , I am not serious…But my point is it’s cool that a 17 year-old from NY is getting some spotlight for doing to some Brooklyn ish.

Listen: Mr. MFN eXquire Shares “Unthinkable (RemeX)” for Valentine’s Day

credit: richard perkins

from a press release:

As we ring in Peel Off Valentine’s in a Stretch H2 Hummer surrounded by stupendous breastis’s’s eXqo Bumaye, stops to reflect about the one and only valentine he really fucked with. Lacing his vocals over Alicia Key’s “Unthinkable”( shout out Megaupload for the Project files) eX tells the tale of love getting lost, like hinges dangling loose between two cars on a speeding train. Play this shit for your bitch on Valentine’s day so she knows its real.

Keep your clicks locked to Dallas The Kid Valentine’s day mixtape coming this Friday. PEEL OFF!

“I wrote this song about this bitch I used to f*ck with, my only valentine…”
– eXquire

Video: Doe Paoro – “Born Whole”

YouTube Preview Image

Doe Paoro has a big voice. She studies Lhamoa powerful, unusual, and vocally acrobatic Tibetan-style opera—that she encountered while traveling alone through the Himalayas this past year. I guess her upcoming album Slow To Love was written in solitude at a cabin outside of Syracuse, New York after returning home. Whatever the case, this girl has a big voice that sounds pretty soulful for a buddhist.

Slow to Love album release party is Feb 13th @ Glasslands, Brooklyn

Video: The Black Keys “Gold on the Ceiling”

The Black Keys unleash their second video off their Gold album El Camino. This video was shot at their New York release party.  I wonder what will go platinum first, El Camino or Brothers?
