Peter Hadar hits Rhumba Thursday for a post-Valentine day show as part of his “Take Off Victoria” Tour. As you may recall , Peter is the R+B singer that had former DW Staffer Jessica Morgan star in his sultry Your Body video. Hadar will be joined on this tour with “Your Body’s” producer GTW . There is also support from Forest & the Evergreens. This show will be hosted by J.G. the Juggernaut. DJ O-Sharp will rock a House set as well.

Fela Kuti’s son Seun Kuti will lead his pops former Afrobeat Orchestra Egypt 80 across America, once again. Seun adds some contemporary influences to his dad’s sauce.
Brian Eno hailed Seun and Egypt 80 for “making some of the biggest, wildest, livest music on the planet.” Because of their range and appeal Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 are playing all types of events and venues: SXSW, Coachella, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest, Houstin I-Fest, International Festival of Louisiana, Lake Eden Arts Festival and many more.

The GZA spoke at Harvard. Now, he is speaking at Oxford(U.K.) on January 28th about his beginnings as an MC, his Clan, his inspiration, his process, LIQUID SWORDS, and the state of hip hop. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A. I think OSU needs to compete with these reputable schools and bring the GZA to Columbus. Maybe he could play Liquid Swords while he is town. Or maybe he will do songs off his upcoming Baby Grande Release.

Psychic Ills are gearing up for tour and SXSW.
Their 2011 Sacred Bones debut Hazed Dreams was a psychedelic, drone-y affair. Dates after jump.
Odd Future is touring North America in March and April. This tour coincides with the release of their new tape OF Vol. 2 ( March 20). They will screen their Adult Swim Show Loiter Squad at these shows. They will have a pop-show similar to this one at their Big Gay Out show in New Zealand.

Fly Union is currently on tour. They are one of Columbus’ greatest music exports. Please do your self a check then out if they are in your town. Or follow them around like a fanatic so I can watch their twitter and giggle about them getting stalked by a random creep.
