Classic Bruce Springsteen Television Interviews

Backstreets compiled some interviews with a young Bruce Springsteen during the 1970s. The footage of the reporters doing the nightly news is just as great.

Bruce Springsteen Performing at Columbus Ohio Obama Rally Sunday

Ah, seems like just yesterday I was seeing Bruce performing at a Kerry rally at the same location…… no wait that was four years ago.

Bruce Springsteen will perform an acoustic set on the Main Oval on the Ohio State University campus as part of an Obama rally to support Ohio’s “early voting” period … Gates for the Springsteen program will open at 3 p.m. and the event is scheduled for 4:30 p.m … Free “preferred tickets” will be distributed at Obama campaign offices in Columbus and statewide at 10 a.m to 8:00 p.m. Thursday through the weekend. Gucci Mane & Rick Ross In Columbus Tomorrow

A lot of people are riding pretty hard for “The Boss’”, Rick Ross decision to not wear a shirt.

I still am partial to a shirtless Gucci Mane. While Ross gets points for being super fat and having cool looking tatts, I feel like some sort of stylist gets paid 250 dollars an hour to make sure his stomach is angled correct and the right oils are applied.

You think Gucci Mane would let some South Beach stylist apply weird lotions to bring out the texture in his beergut? Fuck no! That would take time away from doing drugs and dancing as seen in the clip below.

SXSW Randoms: The National, Body of War, Videos

In an interview with Gothamist, Matt Berninger from The National says they’ll be at SXSW this year.

DirecTV will be broadcasting sessions out of SXSW, limited live audience. Details and schedule here.

Songs Illinois posted a bunch of videos from SXSW’s of the past, dating back to 1993.

Thursday night at Stubb’s is the Body of War event featuring Kimya Dawson, Serj Tarkian, Tom Morello, Brendon Jenkins, and Special Guests. On the schedule they’re listed to perform for about 90 minutes. Body of War is a documentary that is also premiering at SXSW. Details on the film here.

So what about the Body of War special guests? I have no inside knowledge, but this article on Billboard discusses the soundtrack. Also on the soundtrack are Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen, Bright Eyes and more……
