Clinton Reno: My Morning Jacket Fan Club, Renegade Brooklyn, Neko Case

Our main man Clinton Reno is always keeping busy. Recently he did the artwork for the new My Morning Jacket fan club which included a logo, poster, and t-shirt. He also did recent posters for Neko Case and The Flaming Lips.

If you’re in New York, Reno will be selling his posters this weekend at Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn. Kiesha and I will be his employees in his booth as well so be sure to stop over and say hello.

Mud & Music, that was Day 3 of Nelsonville. Lots of both. Mud isn’t quite as interesting to photograph, though, so here’s some bands.

I was a little worried when I saw the “Queen of Rockabilly” making her way, very slowly, to the stage. But unlike George Jones, Jackson can still sing. Not just “ok for an old lady.” I mean really sing. Yodel, too. Looks (which kinda scared me) can be deceiving.

As usual, the No-Fi Cabin was one of my favorite retreats. So many great performances here over the weekend, especially Michael Hurley, Eve Searls and Adam Remnant.

The Flaming Lips, Neko Case to Headline Nelsonville Music Festival 2011

Nelsonville Music Festival in Nelsonvile, Ohio is more ATP NY than Lollapalooza. A great music fest in a chill environment. They’ve just announced the headliners and it’s a doozy: The Flaming Lips, George Jones, and Neko Case will all be headling the three day event that takes place May 13-15. Tickets are on sale Monday. Lots more bands to be announced soon.

Neko Case New MP3, Charity, Columbus Show

Call it payola for a good cause, but every blog (like this one), that links to the new Neko Case song People Got A Lotta Nerve, her label will donate $5 to the Best Friends Animal Society. I woulda posted it even without the extra enticement. More details here.
