At this year’s Daymon Day people painted a mural that honored deceased local icons and members of the community Daymon Dodson,  DJ Przm, “E”, Camu Tao, Todd Minton and Andyman on the back of a handball court at Tuttle Park in Columbus, Ohio.

Dope beat. Two elite Columbus Emcee’s? What could be better?

The above video has the good dudes over at Higher Level Art doing a pretty fresh performance piece at this year’s Cincinnati Fringe Festival.

During the duration of the 10-day festival they create a mural goes through a zillion stages of graffiti.. Starting from tags, then moved on to fill-ins to rollers to a full scale production to eventually a layering of a buffed wall after getting dicked.

The only way this mural is completely enjoyed is through this video.

This song is absolute fire. King Dom says the only Charlie Sheen reference in the past three months that isn’t immeadeate grounds for dissmissal, “Corny rappers with your Charlie Sheen lines. I am at the crib blowing Charlie Sheen lines”. And didn’t follow it up with winning.

And last but not not least..Ohio ex pat Stalley and the C-O’s Rashad dropped “Chevy’s & Spaceships” everywhere to help celebrate Rick Ross dropping his Self-Made comp.

My friend Danny Babcock and 4 other artists got involved with Cincy’s Over the Rhine based non-profit Art Wave for this “Paint the Street” project last weekend. Above is a video of the painting taking place.

Def Jux and Fat Possum are putting out Camu’s album King of Hearts August 16th

L.e. for the Uncool brings it on this video and reps Columbus properly. Footie of Ender, Rilla and others from the WTC. The video has effects that remind me of Pharcyde’s “Drop” with L.E. riding his BMX backwards at times. The song itself is a banger. L.E. raps with urgency over a bassline that will get stuck in your brain immediatley. Shots to Milk N Syrup’s Ralph Rude on the cameo.
