Oh vey. Skyzoo got Chi Ali on the Remix for Jansport Strings which is an ode to how Skyzoo was inspired as a child to see a young rapper like Chi Ali out there living the dream with the Native Tongues Crew. The Jansport String narrative goes that Skyzoo got into Hip Hop because of this inspiration which helped keep him out of trouble. Interesting irony, as Chi Ali eventually ended up on America’s Most Wanted for murder despite being reared in the D.A.i.S.Y. Age. A mixture of factors exist in the world. Well, Ali is back out of jail and on Skyzoo’s song. It must be noted that Ali expressess remorse for the killing on this remix. It’s also a pleasure to listen to 2 people that are this delighted to be on a Hip Hop track together.
Skyzoo raps from the perspectives of Theo Huxtable and JJ Evans on his new mixtape.:
“With this project, I wanted it to be a bridge between “The Great Debater” and “A Dream Deferred”. This mixtape literally picks up where “The Great Debater” left off and leads you directly into “A Dream Deferred.” The tape is split into 2 parts, Theo Huxtable and JJ Evans. The first half of the tape has me rhyming as if I were Theo, with the world from his point of view. Being well off, having to live up to a family’s expectations due to their success, etc. The second half is from JJ’s view, with the sound being slightly more aggressive and the stories built with an “in need of something” attitude. The tape is the idea of the vast contrasts of a life that my people and I dreamed of and aspired to as kids (Theo) versus a life that was more of our reality (J.J). This one is for US. Enjoy”
‘Theo vs J.J.’ leads you into Skyzoo’s upcoming album, “A Dream Deferred,” out 10/02 on The Faculty/Duck Down Music.

For sure dude, rap is out of control. This time in a good way.
Duck Down Recording Artist SkyZoo will be on 106 & Park. Skyzoo will be interviewed as part of BET’s Music Matters campaign. This is fucking nuts. Skyzoo is one of the rawest in the underground so for him to be on BET’s version of TRL is bonkers. I guess he was on back in the day battling Jin on Freestyle Fridays..
But this is different. Its also kinda funny cause when is Jin now? Still in major label development? Skyzoo will be performing “Frisbees”, “Digital Analog” and “Speakers on Blast”.
Then the BK emcee will be interviewed. If you caught Skyzoo opening for Ghostface last year…. then you already know.
Here is an older video for “The Beautiful Decay”. Espoooo
