Stones Throw’s “Ambassador of the Boogie Funk”, Dam-Funk, is gonna play Princetober at Double Happiness. Info above on the flyer. Between Odd Future in the Nati, Wrongfest, and Envelope’s Record store release tour, 10/15 seems to be a fun-filled day.

Stones Throw Recording artist MED has rocked with Madvillian, Dilla, Lootpack and Quasimoto in the past. On November 1st, he will drop Classic on Stones Throw which has MED teaming up with Odd Future’s Hodgy Beats, Talib Kweli, Oh No, Kurupt, and Pok.  Madlib produces 10 songs on Classic, with additional production coming from the Alchemist, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Oh No and Karriem Riggins.  Visit Stones Throw’s website for more info.

Stones Throw is bugging out. The respected Hip Hop imprint put out a James Pants record out a few months ago which was like a swagged-out Blank Dogs album. Of course there is Dam Funk, and the Stepkids.

Stones Throw newest plunge into releasing records more for the art schoolers is Austrialian multi-intstrumentalist/arranger Jonti.
Jonti’s upcoming album Twirligig, is said to be a melodic,psychedelic record with interesting arrangements have a turn of the millenium Animal Collective appeal.

The Sound Clash is taking place at the premier venue in Austin, TX, “The Habana Annex,” formerly the Fader House.
