UPDATED WITH VIDEO: “Distractions” is produced by Oh No. The video was directed by Darryl Phillips, of ICU Media.

Obviously this video was filmed at Occupy Wall Street.

Distractions is Talib Kweli’s first leak off his upcoming Prisoner of Consciousness album. If you remember Kweli did an accepella version of this song at Occupy Wall Street a few months ago.

Pitchfork points out that the Village Voice pointed out that Talib Kweli showed up last night(Thursday) to perform Distractions for Occupy Wall Street Protestors.

This comes on the heels of Talib Kweli and Mos Def are Blackstar performing a new song “Fix-Up” on the Colbert Report Wednesday.

Video:Talib Kweli Announces Duck Down Vs. Blacksmith CMJ Showcase from The Set of the Colbert Report

Talib Kweli & Mos Def aka BlackStar will be on the Colbert Report Tonight(Wednesday), which airs at 11:30pm. Blackstar will debut a new song “Fix Up” tonight on the air.

Yesterday, Blackstar cancelled their New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Anaheim, Charlotte, Cincinnati and Indianapolis shows.

So today, Kweli hopped in the Colbert Chair to film this PSA about the Duck Down Records vs. Blacksmith CMJ Showcase on October 22nd at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. The showcase features performances by Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, Jean Grae, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun, Kidz In The Hall, Promise & a special ‘Population Control’ music set by Statik Selektah.
