A very large discussion broke out in our message board over a lame Rolling Stone “All Time Best Albums” list that was recently published. As a general rule, I find all of these lists to be worthless. I mean, come on now. Trying to figure out the best bands, albums or whatever of all time or “right now” is just silly. I can understand picking the best records of a year, but these all time/current lists are for crap.
To prove my point, a bunch of music bloggers/writers put together their own list and I’d say it’s just as bad as the Rolling Stone one and the Guardian list that came out awhile back.
As long as we have numbers, we’ll have these lists, I’m afraid.
