Steve Earle on O’Reilly

Steve Earle vs Bill O’Reilly happening tomorrow.

Donewaiting.com Halloween Concert Photos

The first wave of photos from the concert are now live and can be seen here.

Here’s a taste of The Last Hotel as The Royal Tenenbaums

For more photo goodness, make with the clicky.

Like I said yesterday, the weirdest thing of the event was seeing Jon Chinn and his fiance, Susan, dress up like me and Kiesha.

To compare, here’s the real me + Kiesha:

and here’s Jon and Susan in costume:

It reminds me of that Sealab 2021 episode: BIZZZARO! BIZZZZAAARROOO!!

Mohave 3 Review

Chromewaves gives us a review of a Mojave 3 concert complete with photographs.

Day of the Dead

Thanks to everyone who came out to our big Halloween costume party concert last night at Little Brother’s. The bands were great, the people were great, the candy was great.

If you would have asked me, “Rob, do you think someone will go to the concert dressed up as you and your girlfriend?” I would have laughed them off the face of the planet.

But it did happen. And it was one of the most surreal things I’ve ever seen. Pictures to come very soon.

Hooters: The Band

Okay, let me think out loud here for a second.

First, Hooter’s was a restaurant chain. Then they started their own airline. Okay, makes no sense, but whatever.

And now they’re getting into the music business with a female hip hop/R&B band.

More info about the band here, on their official website.

The question is: WHAT CAN’T HOOTERS DO? (Answer: NOTHING!!!!)

Miranda Sound on Tour

One of my favorite bands is going on a two week tour and they may be stopping in your neck of the woods. Miranda Sound is in the top percentile of bands who really know how to put on a live show, oozing energy and emotion like it’s the last night on Earth.

Today

Happy Halloween, y’all. Don’t worry, that big ass concert poster will go away tomorrow morning.

I just spent about 30 minutes scanning my regular music news spots, and I’ll be damned if I can find anything interesting to write about.

At Tankboy’s Most Beautiful

When Tankboy started writing for donewaiting.com a few months ago he had one rule. It was simply “Don’t make me fucking angry.” That is the rule in which I make all of my decisions in life.

However, Tankboy is angry. Angry and disappointed at R.E.M. and their new best of collection. Read his review here and feel the anger oozing from Wicker Park.

  • Re-live the R.E.M. concert in Los Angeles through Han Q Duong, our West Coast eyes and ears.
  • Discuss the new greatest hits collection here.
