Announcing Donewaiting.com: The Album
I’m really happy to announce this.
To celebrate the two year anniversary of our website in February 2005, donewaiting.com will be releasing its first album!
“Don’t Blame Ohio: A Donewaiting.com Anniversary Celebration Volume One” will be a limited edition 12″ vinyl/CD combo featuring Miranda Sound and Tiara. Both band will each be contributing an EP’s worth of material. Original album artwork by Clinton Reno. This pressing will be limited to 500 copies.
If you don’t have a record player, don’t worry. We’re including a copy of the songs on a CD as well.
We’ll have a big joint CD release party in Columbus in February, and hopefully many other key donewaiting.com cities across the country (sorry, England). We’ll also be selling the album on the website.
As more information becomes available, you’ll be the first to know.

We’re Baaaaack
Okay, it took a few days, but the site is now moved to a new hosting provider, and everyone is feeling gooooood.
A huge huge thank to our new hosting provider, A Small Orange. They really went out of their way with helping me with the move, answering all of my emails throughout the weekend and these last few days. I love those guys.

Download the Entire New U2 Album
The whole album is here as of 1:20pm EST. Who knows how long it’ll work. If that doesn’t, you’ll surely be able to find it on your favorite p2p service.
I think U2 said that if it did leak, they’d immediately post it on iTunes. We’ll have to see.
Oh, yeah, Eminem is leaked too.
SUNDAY UPDATE: Yeah, that link doesn’t seem to work anymore. Try this discussion thread for more spots to download. After that, you’re on your own.

Lights out at First Avenue
Legendary Minnesota rock club First Avenue closed its doors due to financial and legal woes this week after more than 30 years of existence. The club became an international landmark when it was featured in Prince’s Purple Rain movie in 1984.

The Day After
I stopped posting live updates around midnight. Watching the results on the TV became the bigger priority. I couldn’t give Tim Easton and Nada Surf the attention they deserved, but it was good to be at the show with friends in a familiar place. All of the bands sounded great, and it was really nice to have them there.
Ohio is the new Ohio.
It’s not over yet, please hang in there. Please.
