Spoon Will Be There

Straight from the horse’s mouth – the horse in this case being Britt Daniel at the Arcade Fire show in Austin this past Friday – Spoon’s new one is coming out in early May and the most current title is still The Beast And Dragon Are Adored. The band will also be playing SXSW.

    Achtung Baby says that Spoon will be opening for Elvis Costello at SXSW. Hopefully there’ll be a show of their own at some point.

    what’s the difference? all the SXSW shows are 40 minutes, regardless of when or where, or whether they’re “opening” for someone.

    it *might* be easier to get into a Spoon show than the Elvis Costello show, is all. I’m not even going to try and get in to see EC.

    why not see elvis? most likely he will play austin city music hall…and that place is MASSIVE. you will get in if you put minimal effort into it.

    Apparently, Elvis is playing at La Zona Rosa, not the AMH.
