Rhino Records is preparing “Children of Nuggets: The Next Generation”, a follow-up to their very successful “Nuggets II” boxed set.
Among the familiar names on this Nuggets are the Cramps, Bangles, Posies, Teenage Fanclub, Flamin? Groovies, the Soft Boys, Smithereens, Wondermints and Dream Syndicate. Primal Scream makes an appearance in its early Byrds-influenced incarnation (“Gentle Tuesday”), as do Screaming Trees (the heavily Doors-oid “Transfiguration”) and exploding Welsh teardrop Julian Cope (“Sunspots”).
