Dispatches from the New York City Area

I’m in NJ for the week taking care of some family business. Got here Saturday morning.

On Saturday I saw a bunch of Japanese bands @ the Knitting Factory. Some were amazing, some were bad, I’ll be damned if I know the names of any of them. I really should look it up.

Last night, while most people were rocking to MIA in Central Park, I went to a Polka Concert in my hometown of Clifton, NJ where the average age was 65. HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW?

Sadly, Brooklyn Vegan was not at the show taking pix.

  1. Very useful blog. Thank you.

  2. Ghost from your past

Rob?, Bob?, Duffy? I don’t know what to call you these days! Hey, how are you doing? It looks like life is pretty successful for you these day, congrats! I came across your name while searching the internet under the name of someone else from the past, did a little digging and decided to drop you a line, just to say hello. I doubt my personal hello would be very welcome by you but you will always have a place in my heart no matter how we have drifted apart…I miss you and the “entourage”. You all have given me very special memories. Best wishes and best of luck in all that you do–never forget Clifton Highschool…where all your dreams “came” true. Maybe our paths will cross someday. Sincerly, the centerfold of your pubescent days…
