Look, in case you’ve overlooked this on every other website you visit, here is a quick and easy way to donate to the Red Cross for the Hurricane Katrina relief fund.
It’s looking more and more like it’s up to the American people (and the rest of the world) to help each other, and not the government, so do what you can. Every bit helps.
I agree with you and applaud your input. Another way for the American people to help each other is to locate an organization willing to match their donation, effectively doubling it. My website, http://www.donationdoubler.org is a non-profit site that was founded following Hurricane Katrina. I do not work for a company that matches employee donations and still wanted to make my money go as far as possible to help the disaster victims.
http://www.donationdoubler.org tracks information on companies willing to match consumer donations. There are many such companies out there; they are just difficult to find. I hope that my site will make it easier for people to locate organizations to match their donation and maximize the amount of money that goes to charitable causes.
Very useful blog. Thank you.
