That’s an amazing lineup, if we do say so ourselves. There will be a taco truck parked nearby that has been described as “kick-fucking-bad-ass” by someone in the know. Cheap beer. 12 bands a day. Crazy, no? Besides our Thursday party this will be a home base of operations of sorts.
jesus. h. christ! that line-up is disgusting. this is the first year that i’ve seen unofficial shows fiercely competing directly with the official sxsw showcases. seriously, by next year (if not this year) there will be no reason to even buy a wristband!
I saw a great line-up of bands there last year: Radar Bros., Jenny Toomey with Ida, Shearwater, Cue…all on the same day. The taco truck is pretty neat, too, but the parking lot is essentially a big mud pit, so be careful. And the stage is outdoors so the weather might hold things up, like a hailstorm did last year.
Uh, is that really a 10-minute walk from Emo’s? I remember driving there two years ago and it seemed like a 10-minute drive, not walk from there. Unless I think of a different place.
that looks siiiick
And these shows are free, no wrist band needed??? That would be siiiick!
