Not real excited about trying to squeeze into Friends to see The Twilight Singers. When that place is packed, it’s NO fun to see bands there (see: 2004 – The Delgados; 2005 – The Dears).
I don’t see a showcase from Donavon Frankenreiter. Anyone know what happened there? Are there others still in the final list who have no showcases listed?
seems a lot of what i want to see is on wednesday. i thought this was usually the slow day for me in the past.
where are the showcases for the apples in stereo, vetiver, destroyer, arab strap, the earlies, charlotte hatherley, miss murgatroid and petra haden, and ratatat?
Youth Group is playing in Austin a few days before SXSW w/ Matt Pond PA. Don’t know if that’s why they aren’t playing SXSW. Also, The Earlies aren’t playing either. Not sure why but I was supposed to interview them and their publicist emailed and said they weren’t doing SXSW.
schedule is still a work in progress. notice no listing for the friday night show at la zona rosa. and not sure they have all nights at the parish on the schedule yet either. also, one of the VJs on ME television in austin said lyle lovett will be on the saturday night schedule for stubbs. stay tuned.

what an unusual line-up for Thursday at Town Lake, Auditorium Shores. It’s almost like Coachella.

charlotte hatherley cancelled her appearance because it conflicted with another show… I doon’t know what trumps sxsw, but apparently something does.

I think Elbow have also dropped out – they’re not on the last SXSW band list. Sucks.
