The Damnwells “Air Stereo” in stores on August 15

Yes, I’m obsessed with The Damnwells as are a few other members of the Donewaiting community. Donewaiting’s Clint Reno has done some tour posters for the band and most recently designed the t-shirt that they sold on tour and Houston Calling’s David Cobb has interviewed the band on numerous occasions.

The band’s new album, Air Stereo (Zoe/Rounder), will hit stores this coming Tuesday, August 15. I’ve become intimately familiar with most of the songs on this CD over the years and can promise that they don’t disappoint.

Check out this short documentary on the making of Air Stereo

Also, director Chris Suchorsky is working on a documentary about the band that he hopes to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this year. You can watch 4-minutes of the movie here.

And, finally, to get you pumped up for upcoming tour dates, check out this 45-minute live set captured in July.

  1. I too love the Damnwells, and look forward to hearing the new album. I saw them perform at The Khyber in Philly a few years ago (they opened for Josh Ritter), and had the chance to chat with them briefly afterwards. They are great performers, and very nice, down to earth, guys who deserve success.
