Finn’s Motel at Used Kids Today

Don’t let this one pass you by, Columbus Ohio:

Finns Motel (SCAT RECORDS)
The Lindsay (MANUP)
at
Used Kids, Columbus Ohio 7-9pm

“Finns Motel, the project of singer-songwriter Joe Thebeau. The bands been considered a work-in-progress since 2003 — the year Thebeau started demoing tunes for the upcoming full-length Scat Records debut, Escape Velocity — and is now a trio consisting of Thebeau, Prisonshakes Patrick Hawley and Love Expert Steve Scariano. (Further circle-of-life-ness: Love Experts vocalist Steve Carosello guests on Velocity, as does Scat Records owner Robert Griffin.) Velocity is due out September 19, and its a catchy platter of ragged Replacements thrash, ringing power-pop and sprightly, second-wave Nuggets garage rock — in short, exactly the type of polished rock one would expect from this cadre of talented musicians. ”
