  1. has anyone been to these in-store shows before? how hard is it to get in? do they let people stay the whole time?

  2. Its a filter in filter out throughout the whole thing.

I saw Lady Sovereign and Jose Gonzalez last year. It wasnt that hard to move up to the front… and by front I mean like 30 inches away from the performer. I definitely want to see Albert Hammond and the Stooges. Im going to get there about an hour early for both. Stand through some other band. Oh, and you bet it gets packed… but I was up front both days so I dont know if its unbearable from farther back.

  4. two years ago we saw
The Soundtrack of Our Lives and The Bravery

It does get really crowed and it’s hard to move around when it’s packed inside…remember it is a record store, not a music venue, so expect to be in an isle and have no view of the stage, unless you’re there early and wait all day in front

  5. wasn’t Tom from myspace at the Bravery show at Waterloo. the crazy rich bastard.

  6. I’m so frustrated by the sxsw wristband scalpers posting on craigslist. i’ve been trying my hardest to have their posts deleted and it’s working, but they keep coming back like roaches. the biggest joke was the prick selling a wristband for 360. I want to tell him I’m going to buy it just so I can meet up with him and kick him right in the balls.

  8. holy fuck the stooges. you are gonna have get there on wednesday to see that show.

  9. Don’t know who Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. is, but you can bet, when they get back home, they’ll be telling everyone how they packed the fuck out of Waterloo Records for their show.

  10. Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is actually a “he”, Sam Duckworth, and I plan to be leaving the packed store after his show as I’ve already got a ticket to see the Stooges here in L.A. — but not Sam. ;)

  11. I love Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, but what an odd choice to put on just before The Stooges.

  12. How can they possibly fit the stooges in waterloo?

that doesn’t make any sense to me…

  13. Hey, if they can fit The Polyphonic Spree in Waterloo for an instore performance, anything is possible.

I went to the Thursday 2005 sets myself…I saw The Soundtrack of Our Lives, The Bravery, Adem, and The Dears. Good times!

  14. scalpers are super lame. pretty scummy.

on a more positive note, Sparklehorse should be a nice treat.
