Hey Donewaiting! Tell all your friends that the Scoot Inn lost their liquor license! TABC pulled the plug on their permit so they can’t SELL any booze so they are giving it away for FREE! Tell your fans to “DRINK ‘EM DRY!” Courtesy of the owner James Stockbauer!

Sweden’s Mando Diao at Antone’s at 3. They are at my hotel, so I had the opp to talk to them, and they are as cool as they are fun to hear, and see. They will be a good America touring band. And I’m sure they will do well here They really ROCKed, as did the San Antonio band, who played out doors, and whose name I didn’t catch..but I’ll post the link for the pictures, and someone can tell me who they were. They had a percussion section and were white funk fellas, one guy in rasta hair.. just unreal. There was a band from Michigan again, name didn’t get tossed and I didn’t get it, but they had an accordian, so I am sure I’ll have it soon. Very fun to watch, not great to ear lyrically, but I think on recordings they’re probably better…and they are a real crowd’s band.
Onion party was a winner. Truly broke my heart that two bands I wanted to see were up in the second floors… Skinny Puppy and Mink…I am in a wheelchair… they are in non accessible locations. not a fun combo for us gimp types.

Rachel Fuller’s ass was huger than her mouth. attic jam put me to sleep. also the red 7 sucks major donkey dong for not letting in even fucking badges for reigning sound and mary weiss when they were under capacity. i went through the patio (where there were 5 people watching what monstrosity was happening on stage) and there was a ton of room in the main venue. why pay $500 for a badge to get shut out of seeing reigning sound? even when you show up 20 minutes before their set? are you fucking kidding me? fuck red 7, douches.
Toronto band the Small Sins drove 26 hours straight through the night after getting stuck at Canadian immigration and made it just in time to play an incredible set at Habana Calle 6 during the day. It was an accident that we saw them as we were there for Get Cape, but a worthwhile one. Really good catchy power rock and the sound carried great through the small room… definitely a live act worth watching. Get Cape Wear Cape Fly pulled off an incredible, powerful set at Stubb’s even while fighting through bronchitis, that was actually the highlight of the evening (although the Dears were also strong – acoustics were tough on Aqualung and Bloc Party was fun, though you definitely realized how “polished” their CD is when you hear them live.)

Just got out of Stax Revue–kicked about six different kinds of ass. Steve Cropper/Donald “Duck” Dunn in 2008.
Is Isaac Hayes OK?
Pete Townshend rocked, I was only two rows back at the Attic Jam concert today, it was awesome…
(off subject) Does anyone know where and when Tokyo Police Club are playing tomorrow?
