Almost one year ago, The Black Swans kept a tour diary on donewaiting.com that was full of ups and downs. It was a great, honest, eye opening account of an independent band trying to make it on their own without a huge promotional budget working their music.
Things are gearing up for what seems to be the band’s biggest release. In November, the band will put out their second album, “Change!,” on La Société Expéditionnaire via CD and vinyl. They’ve also got a ton of shows lined up for the fall, including a CMJ showcase.
Jerry was able to get a lot of press by himself for his last EP (Pitchfork, Harp, Stylus, Prefix), so it’ll be interesting to see what will happen now that he’s on a label and has PR people, etc etc.
