The former Great White tour manager whose pyrotechnics caused a Rhode Island nightclub fire that killed 100 people was sentenced Wednesday (May 10) to four years in prison.

Daniel Biechele, 29, could have received up to 10 years behind bars under a deal he struck with prosecutors in February, when he pleaded guilty to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter. (full story)

  1. Many upon many will disagree with me I’m sure, but I really think this is a terrible tragedy that is no ones fault per se. Honestly, the tour manager didn’t set out to kill anyone obvs, but he’s taking the blame b/c they need to blame somebody.

    I know it was non-voluntary manslaughter, but shit, didn’t anyone prior tell him the roof tiles were flammable?

  2. this is insane. you can kill a 10 little girls driving a car like an idiot, and not even get a ticket. a drunk driver killed a friend of mine, pleaded guilty, and did under a year in jail. i don’t know what state this was in but that sentance is way way too harsh. yes, even for a great white tour manager.
