I contributed to a list of some of the worst song lyrics ever. Read my pick, and many others, here.
I figured teen pop was way too easy a target so I went with a dude whose first album I actually really liked.
The second album, OOF.
Post some of your most hated in the comments section…

Of all the nasty lyrics on that list, yours is the best… err… worst, Duffy!
Nice.
Take a bite of MY burrito, hotstuff.
Thank you for robert!
The one lyric that irritates me to no end comes from a cheesy ballad by Vanessa Williams. In her song “Save the best for last” (I believe that is the title) she says:
“Sometimes the snow comes down in June. Sometimes the sun goes around the moon.”
WTF! When does the sun go around the moon? Shut up and just look pretty!
that Vanessa lyric is pretty awesome.
My alltime least favorite lyrics:
Bob Lame-ass Seger
Theme to Beverly Hills Cop 2
No matter what you think you pull you’ll find it’s not enough
No matter who you think you know you won’t get through
It’s a given L.A. law
Someone’s faster on the draw
No matter where you hide I’m comin’ after you
yeah
No matter how the race is run it always ends the same
Another room without a view awaits downtown
You can shake me for a while
Live it up in style
No matter what you do I’m gonna take you down
CHORUS:
Shakedown
Breakdown
Takedown
Everybody wants into the crowded line
Breakdown
Takedown
You’re busted
Let down
Your guard
Honey, just about the time you’re thinkin’ it’s alright
Breakdown
Takedown
You’re busted
This is a town where everyone is reachin’ for the top
This is a place where second best will never do
It’s ok to want to shine
But once you step across that line
No matter where you hide I’m comin’ after you
Repeat chorus
how about—-chicka boom chicka boom, doncha just loveit-chicka boom chicka boom doncha just love it -doncha loveit doncha loveit, o yeah doncha loveit-chicka boom chicka boom boom boom .–major suck song from 60 s
meatloaf again—-Iwould do annnnythinng for love(blubber blubber) Iwould do anything for love(sniffle sob blubber) but I WON T DO THAT(sob sob uncontrollable weeping) gotta be a top ten worst
“Sometimes the snow comes down in June, sometimes the sun goes around the moon” means that sometimes, even the ‘impossible’ or ‘very unlikely’ happens, and when it does, it’s beautiful.
