Well, this is a giant fucking who cares, isn’t it?
Saturday’s lineup is certainly more interesting than Friday’s, but I’m not sure that’s saying much. On the flip side, who knew that Imperial Teen was still together? I would probably swing by to catch them.
Waaaah! I’m a self-entitled jerk who expects to see Rage Against The Machine, Daft Punk and Morrissey for free at a day show, not some up and coming indie bands with well-received recent releases! Don’t waste your time unless you’ve read my mind to anticipate exactly what I want to see! Waaaaah!
who did you guys expect? this bill is about as good as you can get, given this year’s SXSW lineup. people are bitching about menomena, rosebuds, RJD2, viva voce, imperial teen? how is that boring?
I think polyphonic spree was just a guess but it’s a pretty good one. The band posted this bit on their blog http://www.thefragilearmy.blogspot.com/ on Jan 18th:
hello all. babies are born. new albums are born. a new year is born. in the meantime, in our small world we are delighted to inform you that our new album The Fragile Army is in its final stages, being mastered tonight after long hours of sequencing etc..over at the home studio, the triplex with mark pirro. we are starting to play out again in march..stay tuned!
Being from Dallas, planning some shows in March… I think it would come as a shock to no one if it were indeed true.
let down

Special guests from Dallas = Polyphonic Spree (yuk!)
hey are u for real about polyphonic spree? or are u just guessing?
Well, this is a giant fucking who cares, isn’t it?

Lineup looks great…gives me a chance to see several bands I might not get to check out during their nighttime showcases.
Can’t understand why people would bitch about a lineup for a FREE day party, but that’s another story.
Hey, booooooring. If that Saturday lineup doesn’t get you excited, then you don’t know a damn thing about music.
Waaaah! I’m a self-entitled jerk who expects to see Rage Against The Machine, Daft Punk and Morrissey for free at a day show, not some up and coming indie bands with well-received recent releases! Don’t waste your time unless you’ve read my mind to anticipate exactly what I want to see! Waaaaah!
I, for one, really hope some of these whiners decide not to attend.
More room for those of us who know it’ll be a good time regardless.
Why does it say InSound after Club DeVille on Friday?
who did you guys expect? this bill is about as good as you can get, given this year’s SXSW lineup. people are bitching about menomena, rosebuds, RJD2, viva voce, imperial teen? how is that boring?
insound is sponsoring the friday deville stage. They picked all the acts appearing on that one.
So inSound isn’t sponsoring the whole event? Bloggers make that much money?!!?!?!?!
don’t hate, appreciate.
imperial teen alone makes it worth the showcase.
polyphonic spree?????????? how did u find that out?
