Um… The Tea for Texas event doesn’t indicate “invite only” on their website. (Just says “Free Beer” in bold.) They even have an email listed. You think it’s good to go for an RSVP?
Hey Jenn… The info I posted was from their publicist… So I’d contact them for clarity just in case..
good idea. they probably don’t know if there’s a glitch.
I’d -really- love to see Tunng.
hey i just accidentally deleted someone’s comment. sorry person. please repost if you’d like.
These are the day parties I’m looking forward to most, I think.
So to clarify, the one on Saturday is NOT invite only? Gruff Rhys is a busy guy!
These line-ups are pretty unimpressive, compared to som eof the amazing line-ups like Team Clearmont, the Scottish Arts Council, the Found Launch party and the High Wire party. As for the two stage two day Hot Freaks line-ups, well, as a Brit, the shows scheduled to showcase “Britain” are just dull.
Any news on the Filter or Brooklyn Vegan parties?

Cheers
I remember lastyear NME Magazine had a free day party at the Mean Eyed Cat. The only bands I remember playing that daytime event were the Dirty Pretty Things and !Foward Russia!
It was an awesome party, does anyone know if there will be another NME party like lastyears??
From a British viewpoint these line ups are truly dire! With the exception of Bat For Lashes,Tuung and Gruff Rhys (plus an honourable mention for Ms Winehouse’s fuck you attitude) its abysmal. In fact i’d go as far as saying the best two acts in any of the showcase are both American, namely Blanche and The Explorers Club. All that top British talent in Austin for the best part of a week and thats the best they can come up with,i despair i honestly do!
Look at that,i got so worked up i did’nt even spell Tuu…Tunn….Tunu…Tunng correctly!!Ah fuck it at least i know where i won’t be on those dates :).
