Safe to say that this is one of the hottest day parties going. Last year’s lineup included bands like Snow Patrol and Silversun Pickups and this year’s looks equally as great.

SXSW Badges Welcome. Arrive Early. Or Else. Limited Guest List. rsvp@filtermmm.com
i was really excited until i realized it’ll have to be bright eyes’ album sans bright eyes… as they’ll be in england at the time.
Personally, I’m tickled pink that Bright Eyes won’t be there in the flesh. I’d hate to have to rip his head off his neck in front of so many people.
that is sad. although i only have a wristband, i would love to see bright eyes!
Does anyone remember if the Filter day show was the one the Kaiser Chiefs played back in 2005? I thought maybe it was. Somehow I remember getting in, even without a badge….
I wonder if they are aware that their dates are completely wrong.
do u have to rsvp still if u have a badge?
I’m really curious about the precedence of badges over wristbands. Say, if you’re waiting in line and you’ve been waiting all day and you’re fixing to get in and some badge just shows up without waiting in line, does he get in or you? Once you’re in the venue, do you have to worry about being pulled out and replaced by badges when the show is at capacity? is there any sure-fire way to get into a show if you have a wristband (like wait at the venue early?
once ur in theyll never pull you out for a badge. only if you do somethings stupid
so excited to see KENNA, i was going to skip bloc party to see him but now might not have to.
stephan – a badge will always skip the line of wristbands to get into a venue. you will never be pulled out for a badge. and there is no sure-fire way except getting to the venue super early and hoping for the best, but you’d have to stay at the same venue all night if you’re waiting for the headliner.
Last year the flyer said badges welcome but they let wristbands in too. I wouldn’t think this year would be any different.
so, if we’ve RSVP’d any idea when we’d get a confirmation back?
i requested a reservation and i didnt get any answer back. its been 24 hrs.
So if you have neither a wristband nor a badge, you can’t get in?
john & chuy: according to the comment on the Filter blog, “emails will be sent the week before SXSW confirming people on the FILTER list.”
Yeah, the Kaiser Chiefs did play this in 2005 – awesome show. Just bought tickets for their April show at the Warfield in SF.
I’m so glad t’Chiefs are FINALLY coming back to America. It’s been too long! I can’t wait for the April tour!
