appears the UK is in the space race and are sending a lander to Mars. the Beagle2 is scheduled to land on Mars in 2003 and in a twist to make that landing unique, Blur is headed in the studio to record a special track that will act as a beacon to signify the landing complete. gotta say it is a lot cooler than sending back “some piece of computer gobbledygook”. heh.
