The first time I saw Gomez was right when their debut album hit the states. It was at Irving Plaza I think, and I swear I was the only person in the room with a Yankee accent. They’ve certainly found their fanbase stateside, that’s for sure.

Over the past week we’ve given out tickets to see Of Montreal and Nels Cline with Glenn Kotche. The contest train keeps rolling today as we’ve got two pairs of tickets to see The Strokes at The LC on October 5 in Columbus OH.

I love Nels Cline. Ever since seeing him perform as part of The Geraldine Fibbers many years ago, he has been one of my favorite guitarists. He does things with those strings that might be illegal in Idaho, I swear. When he joined up with Wilco, (my favorite band), it was a match made in Robert Duffy Heaven.

I am also a really big fan of Glenn Kotche, the Wilco drummer. I’ve seen him solo twice, and both times were uniquely different and completely mesmerizing.

Nels and Glenn will be performing solo sets and as a duo Friday, September 22 at the Wexner Center. Tickets are onsale now and going fast.

Of Montreal are finally coming to Columbus OH for a show on Monday, September 25 at the Newport Music Hall! We’re really excited to announce that we are giving away two pairs of tickets to the show.
