Over on his website, Tim Easton has a bunch of live mp3s available for download. You can also get more of his music on his Myspace page.
If your band ain’t on Myspace, I just don’t know what to tell you.

Paul Cox hits the nail on the head:
I only visit a handful of mp3 blogs. Not that I’m above becoming a junkie, but because I really enjoy finding out about things all on my own. Also, the number that were created within the last year just makes following them all daily an exhaustive task. But I do want to pick one nit in particular: Scenestars. They’ve been guilty of this sort of self-important carelessness in the past, but today they’re hosting three (!) fucking tracks from the New Order album which isn’t even due in stores for two more months. It’s bad enough when three separate mp3 blogs will post different tracks from any given record, but to have them all in one place is just a gross mishandling of the responsibilities that come with running such a portal. (So is exploiting the good nature of your readers in an effort to stock up on free iPods and other tech trinkets, but I’ll save that gripe for another day.) So, fuck Scenestars and any other mp3 blog that carries on in this manner. It’s about giving people a taste of what’s coming, not about supplying them with a full quarter of the material from a highly anticipated record. (source)
I don’t go to any mp3blogs mainly because I can’t keep up with them. If you can, god bless you because you’re a better person than me.
But if you’re going to run an mp3 blog, do it responsibly. The RIAA love to sue. Always remember that.

We here at DoneWaiting abhor illegal activities. We would never support underage drinking, drug use, shoplifting cigarettes from your local five and dime or shipping pornographic materials to Japan. We believe that illegal downloading of music is way way worse than any of those offenses, though. However we are a news outlet so we feel it is our duty to write about the news. And talk in the third person plural.
The new Queens Of The Stoneage album has been leaked on the P2P networks so if you’re looking to get your cowbell fix in,today is the day to do it.

I’m going to see Wilco Wednesday. They’re my favorite band. I’ve seen them many times, but it’s been one and a half years since I’ve seen them last in Cleveland with Sonic Youth. God, has it been that long? I really can’t wait.
The band is playing in Cincinnati on Friday. I’d really like to go but don’t have a ticket and it’s sold out. If you know someone who does have a spare, please send them my way. duffy@donewaiting.com …
I hate to even put this on the site, but I am sort of desperate.

Interesting editorial from the former singer of UK band Sleeper on the lack of a strong female rock presence in rock these days:
Fast forward 10 years and there’s barely a female rock voice left. Of the 23 categories contested at this year’s NME awards, a British female artist is nominated in only one: World’s Sexiest Women. How has it come to this? Where is the female Alex Kapranos? Where are the female Razorlight? Didn’t we make it easy for girls to become rock musicians and gain the respect of their male peers? Were you too screwed by the on-line U2 pre-sale ticket debacle? Larry Mullen Jr. feels your pain and wants to make it up to you and he’s offering refunds to all U2 susbscribers who “didn’t get tickets [and] are understandably angry.”
Read his full letter to the fans here.
He also hints they are trying to find a fair way to distribute tickets fort the Fall leg of their North American tour.
See? U2 are still a bunch of decent guys.
