Yo La Tengo Season Pass
Frank poinetd out that Yo La Tengo now have a season pass offer for their new album. What the F is a season pass in context to an album? Good question.
So this is how it works. You pre-order the album from a handful of select stores. You get a code that you then enter into the website. That code gets you an advance stream of the album, a quicktime file that has album artwork, liner notes, other stuff, as well as some exclusive MP3s from the band.
Meanwhile, you can just go to Merge’s website and stream the new M Ward for free without having to go through any confusing registration process or paying any money.

Kyle from More Cowbell Rocking Donewaiting.com T-Shirt
Kyle from More Cowbell sporting his excellently designed and crafted Donewaiting.com T-Shirt:

You can buy your own (cheap!) over at the donewaiting.com store.
I have a feeling this is going to spark Kyle’s journey into male fashion. As Uma Thurman said when she was looking over my shoulder as I created this blog post, “THAT BLOGGER IS HOT!”

The Frames
I haven’t read any reviews of Lollapalooza 2006 yet but I’m sure The Frames slayed everybody they played in front of the same way they slayed me multiple times at SXSW 2005.
The Irish band has a new CD coming out overseas on September 22 with an expected release date in the U.S. of February (I believe I’ll be ordering an import copy because I’m too impatient).
In the meantime, enjoy The Frames performing “God Bless Mom” at Lollapalooza with special guest Beatle Bob providing some dancing entertainment.
