• Deadwood Radio coming to SIRIUS
  Deadwood Radio – a 2-hour weekly show hosted by W. Earl Brown (aka Dan Dority from the program) – is coming to SIRIUS’ Outlaw Country (ch 63). Deadwood Radio debuts at 8PM ET on June 10th – a day before the 3rd season of Deadwood begins.

Tomorrow is the last day for bands to apply to the NEMO Music Festival in Boston. It’s a great festival they’ve had going on for a few years that keeps getting bigger and bigger..

Necropolis celebrated their album release over the weekend, and the place was packed. Someone in the message board said that the venue ran out of beer that night, and I sort of believe it.

Anyway, on the donewaiting.com sister site, weColumbus, we did a video interview with the band. I figured some of you over here might be interested in checking it out, too. We wanted to do a high level interview, a sort of “Get to know your local Necropolis-ers.” It’s the first time we’ve ever done anything with video, so please excuse the jumpy camera, weird lighting choices, etc. The video clocks in at 11 minutes, and we hope to do more in the future. Check it out, and let us know what you think.

Last.fm is a website that tracks what you listen to on your computer. Over time, you can get other recommended music, see different trends, etc.

We have a donewaiting.com Last.fm group that you should join, too. This way we can sort of see what bands many donewaiting.com readers are listening to. Sometimes it’s not as obvious as you might think.

Installing the plugin on your computer takes about one minute, so get to it pronto!

My hard drive blew up the other day which resulted in me getting a new one and sadly losing ALL OF MY DATA, SOFTWARE, ETC… I may be a little hard to reach the next few days as I slowly try to rebuild everything.

It seemed like a good of time as any to upgrade to the newest version of OS X. You know, the upgrade that has the widgets.

Anyway, the first widget I’ve installed is the excellent Album Art Widget.

Besides displaying the artwork of the song you’re listening to, the widget will automatically add the artwork to the entire album inside iTunes with a simple click of the button.

I think I’m in love.

Jani Lane is a mess. After his stint on VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club last year in which he hit rock bottom and then was “rescued”, Lane (ex-Warrant singer) has returned to his old ways and that’s too bad. When Celebrity Fit Club wrapped up, Lane seemed to have sobered up (and lost weight along the way). But he jumped back into the touring thing too soon and all the temptations that come along with touring were smack dab in his face. And, as he’s proven time and time again, he just can’t resist temptation which is too bad.
