I contributed to a list of some of the worst song lyrics ever. Read my pick, and many others, here.
I figured teen pop was way too easy a target so I went with a dude whose first album I actually really liked.
The second album, OOF.

Stereogum makes a sad situation funny.
Major label people so silly.

This is for the hardcore fans:
Wouldn’t it be great if you could see Cracker, and then a set of Johnny Hickman’s solo music, then Victor
Krummenacher’s solo music, then Greg Lisher’s solo music, then Jonathan Segel’s solo music, then The Monks Of Doom, and even some Camper Van Beethoven on the side? It’s not a fantasy – it’s the 1st Annual Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven Camp Out in Pioneertown, CA. Full details here!

The first Lollapalooza was fourteen years ago?!
Damn I’m old.
If you’re going today, do not miss The Dandy Warhols set. Ex and current Brian Jonestown Massacre types will be joining them on-stage for a big sloppy wet kiss of a reunion.
Also, this quote from today’s Trib makes me wanna kick somebody in the teeth.
You certainly wouldn’t have seen little kids at the first Lollapalooza, which featured such dark, confrontational acts as the Rollins Band, Nine Inch Nails and Ice-T.
“The first one was angrier,” Gershon said.
“Everyone was in college,” Calabrese added. “We were loud punks.”
“Even the younger people now seem a lot less punk,” Gershon said. “It’s more of a hippie crowd.”
Speak for yourselves you fucking hippies. I’m still angry. Yaaargh!
Also, when Liz Phair sings it sounds like she’s channeling Katherine Hepburn.
