Pitchfork is running a really good interview with Spoon today. However, one piece really depressed the hell out of me:
Pitchfork: I was talking to Dan Bejar from Destroyer, who?s also on Merge, and when I asked him if he can make a living from what he does and he said, ?No, not really.? Do you guys make a living off what you do?
Britt: No. No. I mean, right now [the tour] has helped. I don?t have time for anything else and I?m making a few bucks when we tour, but it?s not? it?s enough to pay rent basically, for a few months, and then I’ve got to go do something else. (full interview)
