You think you’re doing a good thing by buying your Field Day Festival ticket via Radiohead’s merch company but instead you sorta get screwed. So says loyal donewaiting.com reader and message board writer, e.:
ok, so the people who are die-hard radiohead fans and went through their merchandising company w.a.s.t.e. are getting royally dicked in this situation. this giants stadium thing is lame, and i really would rather go to a show in the city more than this now. so instead of getting a refund for my ticket, like everyone who went through ticketmaster is getting, w.a.s.t.e. has taken the liberty “as a special service to w.a.s.t.e. customers” to NOT give ANY full refunds to previous ticketholders, but instead automatically transfer 2-day passes into an admission for the thing at giants stadium. which, in order to gain admission, one must bring an email confirmation of ticket purchases AND a photo ID… meaning i can’t even sell the fucking thing. that’s $80+ down the drain for me. THANK YOU W.A.S.T.E. for STEALING money from a fucking SUPPORTER.
I dont know all the details, but it sounds like a shit deal for the fans who would rather not go to the show. Maybe WASTE gets a commission per ticket and didnt want to give it up? I dunno.
