Let’s take a trip back to June 27, from rollingstone.com:
Despite the June 27th death of bassist and co-founding member John Entwistle, the Who have decided to continue their U.S. tour. The first two dates of the tour, tonight’s club show in Las Vegas and a June 29th date in Mountain View, California, will be rescheduled later in the tour. But the remaining twenty five dates will continue as planned as a tribute to Entwistle, with the blessing of the bassist’s family.
Now let’s look a news item that came out last week, from launch.com:
Run continued, “Run-D.M.C. is officially retired. I can’t get out in front of my fans with a new DJ. Some rock bands can replace the drummer. People say that to me: ‘Are you the original three members?’ I say, ‘I don’t know any other way but to be the three original members,’ and that’s all I can say–is that we’re retired. Does anybody have a job out there?”
That’s all I gotta say.
