Snow Patrol has a new album out, and our man across the ocean, Steve Miller, knocks out a bit regarding an earlier release by the band:

Snow Patrol?s 2001 album, When It?s All Over We Still Have To Clear Up was full of bitterness, self-loathing and bewilderment as Gary Lightbody dumped his traumatic personal life across all twelve tracks. Spiky, angry and quite outstanding, this is surely one of the ultimate breakup albums and, reeling as I was at the time from a similar situation, it became my soundtrack to the first half of that year, along with Shinkansen?s Field Mice compilation.
