Columbus Music Calendar updates

Earlier this year Donewaiting launched a much-asked-for Columbus Music Calendar. As Duffy mentioned previously, this calendar isn’t comprehensive. It’s curated by the donewaiting.com staff, so any event we put in should be considered a recommendation. Other places do mammoth daily listings if you wanna know every single music-related thing going on in the city…

All that to say, we’re trying to keep the calendar updated on a more regular basis, so if you’re curious about what we’re curious about, check it out.

    LOCAL ARTISTS SOUGHT FOR TALENT SEARCH

    Local singers, rappers, dancers and musicians who think they have undiscovered talent may get their big break through Ace Entertainment’s Got Talent, Bring It talent search competition being held at 3 p.m., September 26, & 27 2009 in Whitehall, Ohio.
    The top 20 combined performers from the auditions in Lima, Dayton and Columbus will perform in the Got Talent, Bring It music workshop and showcase being held in Columbus on November 7th.
    J. Nance, president of Ace Entertainment Management says she is excited to bring this opportunity to the performers here in Buckeye country. I know that there are talented performers living here, waiting for an opportunity to be discovered.
    Nance said that representatives from Black Entertainment Television (BET), Disturbing Tha Peace, BMI, as well as Entertainment Attorney Carl Lewis would be among the panelist participating at the showcase in November.
    Auditions will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., September 26 & 27, 2009 at 5300 E. Main St. Ste. 203 Whitehall, Ohio 43213. The audition fee is $100 per act and $25 for a Beat Battle audition. There is a four-minute maximum time allowance for each audition; producers may submit one original beat.
    The first 25 people to register for auditions will receive a $25 discount off registration, the producers will be able to audition their beat for $10.
