MP3: Do Make Say Think “The Universe!”

I’ve gotten my hands on a fair amount of new music over the last week, but it’s the new album by Do Make Say Think that I keep going back to. I can’t get through three songs by any other band before I return to this record. It’s really, really good.

Somehow this band has escaped me up until now. I’m a fan of a lot of instrumental post-rock type stuff, so it seems like this should have been my friend sooner. Makes no difference really, what counts is right now and right now this album is set on repeat. The music stretches it’s arms far and wide yet still has a nice personal feel to it.

The album does have some vocals here and there, and some great special guests like Akron/Family. It’ll be out February 12 2007.
