Beatallica

Beatles tunes, done Metallica style. Not as cool as you want it to be, but a fun download nonetheless.

Tatu boss arrested over lesbian stunt

Tatu fascinate me.

The man behind “paedophile pop” duo Tatu was arrested yesterday and accused of perverting the morals of underage girls. Ivan Shapovalov, 36, was held in Moscow’s Red Square after arranging for more than 300 girls to be in a new video by the lesbian duo. (full story)

Things like this will only make the band more popular.

Donewaiting.com On the Road: San Francisco 5/22-26

Lollapalooza Blames 9/11 For Poor Ticket Sales and Other Ridiculous Statements

Okay, time to break down pieces of this article from Reuters. Article is indented, my comments below.

Lollapalooza organizers admit that early sales are disappointing in some markets. But they say this may be the way festivals sell post-Sept. 11, 2001. … “Some of these ticket counts are not unusual and not different from what we’re seeing on other festivals,” Wavra continues. “We may be finding out that the buying pattern has changed since 9/11 and the war.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Seriously, that made my anus hurt I laughed so hard. How lame is it to blame the death of thousands of people as the reason kids don’t want to go to this shitty concert? It’s so sad it’s hilarious.

“We have a strong value proposition to the customer, when you look at the quality of the acts and ticket prices,” Schneider says. Tickets run from $40 to $60. “We have a compelling show we’re putting forward to the public.”

Is this the first time the word value was used when discussing Lollapalooza? We have a pretty good discussion going on in our message board regarding how much the ticket value is worth. Donewaiting.com users say: not much.

Both Wavra and Schneider believe the tour will get a boost from the release of the new Jane’s Addiction album later this summer.

Seriously, okay, come on now. This article is filled with so many ridiculous statements, I am looking around my office here wondering if there is a hidden camera TV show watching me, to see my responses. Is that you, Jamie Kenndy? Or Am I being Punk’d?

Newsflash to all: Jane’s Addiction Album will not sell 500,000 copies. Garunteed.

I can’t handle this anymore.

Spoon!

Spoon are releasing a 7-track mini-LP for That’s The Way We Get By in August on 12XU Records. In addition to the title track, there’ll be 6 live tracks and scads of videos from Kill The Moonlight. Okay, maybe not scads, but more than one. Maybe. (source)

I found this today on Chromewaves, a great little music site that I check daily, and seriously, you should too.
